Blurb: Their world was passion, pleasure and secrets.
Far too many secrets. But Clay Nichols can’t get Julia Bell out of his mind. He’s so drawn to her, and to the nights they shared, that he can’t focus on work or business. Only her. And she’s pissing him off with her hot and cold act. She has her reasons though–she’s trying to stay one step ahead of the trouble that’s been chasing her for months now, thanks to the criminal world her ex dragged her into. If only she can get out of this mess, then maybe she can invite the man who ignites her back in her life, so she can have him–heart, mind and body.
He won’t take less than all of her, and the full truth too. When he runs into her again at her sister’s wedding, they have a second chance but she’ll have to let him all the way in. And they’ll learn just how much more there is to the intense sexual chemistry they share, and whether love can carry them well past the danger of her past and into a new future, after this night…
This is a sexy, sexy conclusion to Julia and Clay’s story. This story picks up right after “Night After Night” (Seductive Nights #1) ends. Questions that were left unresolved in the first book are tied up in “After This Night”. Lauren Blakely brings her A game in writing a satisfying conclusion to Julia and Clay’s story.
Julia and Clay are better than ever in this book. There is another level of intimacy that develops between these two characters that wasn’t there in the first book. The bedroom scenes are still top-notch. Lauren Blakely sure knows how to write a bedroom scene. In addition to the steamy action, I love how the story develops. Insecurities come into the fore front in this story. The way that Julia and Clay deal with their past experiences and how that shapes their present is interesting to read. There is never a dull moment in “After This Night”. Favorite characters, couples, locations (a certain tattoo shop) from other Lauren Blakely novels make appearances. It was really fun to read those moments and know the extra history behind those scenes. You don’t have to read Lauren Blakely’s book catalogue to enjoy “Night After Night” however it does make it more fun, and gives you a feel that you are in the know.
If you haven’t read the first book in the series make sure you read it before “After This Night”. That is the only book you have to read before you read this one. If you are looking for a book with steamy romance, and bedroom scenes that are off the charts, then this is series is for you.
